When you pass your exam and get your permit, you are only allowed to drive during daylight hours for the first three months you have it. After you’ve had your permit for three months, you can only drive until 10:00pm. Anytime you drive with your permit, you will be required to have a licensed adult with you who is over the age of 21 in the front passenger seat.
In order to get your intermediate driver’s license:
- - You must be at least 16 years old
- - You need to have your permit for a year (with no traffic violations)
- - You have to have driven a total of 50 hours (10 at night)
- - A parent/guardian must sign your driving log as proof that you drove the required hours
